A Month of Relief for Vaishnavi’s Family in Devannapet 🌾💛
In the agricultural village of Devannapet, located in Hasanparthy Mandal of Hanumakonda District, Telangana, lives a bright and kind-hearted girl named Thallapally Vaishnavi. A fourth standard student, Vaishnavi is known in her school for her attentiveness, her big dreams, and her quiet strength.
Vaishnavi lives with her parents, Thallapally Shivshankar and Thallapally Kavitha, and her elder brother Yashwanth. Both of her parents work as agriculture laborers, earning daily wages through intense manual work in the fields. Whether it's planting in the heat or harvesting in the rain, they do whatever it takes to support their children’s education and keep food on the table.
Though life in rural Telangana comes with many uncertainties—especially in a labor-based livelihood—the Thallapally family holds onto their values of hard work, unity, and hope. Education is a priority for them, and they dream of a better future for Vaishnavi and Yashwanth, one that doesn’t involve struggling under the sun for daily wages.
When Rice Love visited their home, we had the joy of gifting them with 25 kilos of rice—a generous supply that will provide staple food for the entire family for an entire month. In a household where every rupee matters, this gift brought visible relief to the faces of both parents.
This gift also means the family can now save $19, which they would have spent on buying rice. That amount will be wisely used—either for Vaishnavi’s school needs, household essentials, or saved for times when work isn’t available. For families like theirs, a small saving can bring a big sense of security.
Vaishnavi shared with us, “I want to study hard so I can support my family in the future.” Her quiet confidence and respect for her parents’ sacrifices show just how deeply she understands the value of education and hard work.
At Rice Love, every family we meet is a reminder of why this mission matters. It’s not just about feeding people—it’s about honoring their dignity, lifting some of their burdens, and planting seeds of hope.
Thank you for supporting families like Vaishnavi’s. Each Rice Love purchase brings real change to real lives—one village, one family, one bag of rice at a time.
