Sunil’s Story: A Family's Strength and Survival Against All Odds
In the humble village of Devannapet, part of Hasanparthy Mandal in Hanumakonda district, lives a family whose journey is one of resilience and quiet bravery. Polepaka Sunil, his wife Laxmi, and their two young sons, Manideep and Sriyanth, face each day with a strength that inspires all who meet them.
Life has thrown heavy challenges at this family. Sunil is a dialysis patient, battling severe kidney problems that have left him unable to work and dependent on frequent, exhausting hospital visits. His health condition not only weakens his body but also burdens the family financially, with ongoing medical bills and transportation costs.
To keep the family going, Sunil’s wife, Laxmi, works tirelessly as an agriculture coolie. From early morning till late evening, she labors under the scorching sun, bending over fields, earning just enough to scrape by. Despite the fatigue and hardship, she returns home with a warm smile for her husband and children, determined to give them strength and hope.
Their sons, Manideep and Sriyanth, are young but already understand the seriousness of their father's illness. They dream of studying hard and creating a better life — one where their mother won't have to work so hard and their father can focus on healing without worrying about daily needs.
When Rice Love visited their home and provided a bag of rice, it was like a blessing at just the right moment.
“This rice is a huge help for our family,” said Laxmi with tearful eyes. “We can feed our children without worrying for a while, and the small amount we save will go toward Sunil’s treatment. Thank you for your kindness and support.”
For Sunil’s family, this simple act of kindness brought not just food but also comfort, dignity, and a reminder that they are not alone in their struggle.
At Rice Love, we are deeply moved by families like Sunil's—families who continue to hope, fight, and love despite the hardest of circumstances. Their courage fuels our mission, and we stand with them as they walk their path toward better days.
Thank you, Sunil, Laxmi, Manideep, and Sriyanth, for showing us what true strength and unconditional love look like. We believe in your dreams, and we are honored to support you.
