M Haritha’s Story: Growing Dreams from the Fields

In the quiet village of Devannapet in Hasanparthi Mandal, little M Haritha starts her day just like many children—with a school bag on her back and dreams in her heart. A first standard student at the local primary school, Haritha is a bright and curious child, full of questions and kindness.
She lives with her parents, M Ranjith and Kavya, and her younger brother, Harinag. Her family may be small, but their strength and unity are inspiring.
Ranjith and Kavya are daily laborers who work in nearby farms—sowing seeds, harvesting crops, and doing whatever work is available to earn a living. Their income depends entirely on the availability of farm work, which is seasonal and often unpredictable. Some days bring wages, others don’t. Despite the physical exhaustion and uncertainty, they never give up—because everything they do is for their children.
Their home is modest, and life isn’t easy, but what they lack in resources, they make up for in love, determination, and resilience.
When Rice Love reached their home with a donation of 25 kilos of rice, it brought more than just food. For Haritha’s family, it meant 25 days of not worrying about their next meal. It also helped them save around $12.50—a meaningful amount that can go toward school supplies, household items, or even small medical needs.
In families like Haritha’s, where every rupee is earned with great effort, this rice becomes more than nourishment—it becomes time, hope, and breathing room.
