Sathwika’s Story: A Grandfather’s Blessing and a Family’s Strength in Devannapet

In the peaceful village of Devannapet, located in Hasanparthy Mandal of Hanumakonda district, lives a sweet and soft-spoken 4th standard student named Vanga Sathwika. She is a student at the village’s primary school, where her bright smile and helpful nature make her a favorite among her classmates and teachers.

Sathwika comes from a humble and close-knit family. Her father, Vanga Devendar, and mother, Komala, both work as daily laborers, earning just enough to keep food on the table and dreams alive. She has a little brother named Ruthvik, whose laughter fills their small home with joy.

But there’s someone very special in Sathwika’s life—her grandfather, Vanga Komaraya, a wise and kind-hearted man of 85 years. Despite his age and frail health, he remains a pillar of strength and wisdom in the family. His presence brings a deep sense of love, tradition, and belonging to their home. Sathwika often sits beside him, listening to stories from the past, soaking in values that no textbook could ever teach.

Life for Sathwika’s family is simple, but not easy. As laborers, her parents face the daily uncertainty of whether there will be work, and whether their earnings will be enough to meet the needs of the children and their aging father. They manage everything with quiet strength, never letting their hardships dull the hope they carry.

When Rice Love visited their home with a gift of rice, the family felt deeply touched.

“This rice is not just food—it’s comfort,” said Komaraya, her voice trembling with emotion. “For a family like ours, even small help means a lot. It eases our burdens and gives us courage.”

With the rice donation, the family was able to save some money this month—money that could now be used for Sathwika’s school supplies or to buy medicine for her grandfather.

At Rice Love, we are humbled to stand beside families like Sathwika’s—families rooted in love, resilience, and care for one another. Their stories remind us that the strongest homes are not built with bricks, but with hearts that refuse to give up.

Thank you, Sathwika and family, for opening your door and your story to us. You are not alone—we are with you.
