Shamala Sharanya is a student at the Anganwadi pre-primary school in the village of Korikeshala, Mandal Moghullapally, District Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Telangana. She is the daughter of S. Srinivas and S. Mamatha, who work hard to support their family. Her father drives a three-wheeler auto, while her mother works as a mason laborer.

The family is immensely grateful to receive 25 kilos of rice, which serves as a significant support during the festival seasons of Dussehra and Diwali. This rice will last them for a month, helping to save approximately $14.50 on food expenses.
