Strength in Simplicity: Micheal’s Family and the Gift of Rice 🥛🌾
In the quiet village of Devannapet, nestled in Hasanparthy Mandal of Hanumakonda District, Telangana, lives a sweet and soft-spoken little boy named Sandela Micheal. A second standard student, Micheal is full of innocence and energy, attending school with joy and a love for learning.
Micheal’s family is small but full of love. He lives with his father, Sandela Pradeep, his mother, Sravanthi, and his elder brother Gabrial, who is both a role model and a best friend to him. The family earns their living through milk vending, collecting and distributing fresh milk to nearby homes and shops early in the morning—a job that begins before sunrise and often continues through the day.
Though their work is consistent, income from milk vending is modest, and every rupee is carefully managed. The family puts their hearts into what they do, working hard to ensure their children have access to school and opportunities they themselves never had.
When Rice Love visited Micheal’s family, we were honored to gift them 25 kilos of rice—enough to feed the entire household for a full month. For the Sandela family, this generous gift of rice brought a deep sense of gratitude and relief.
With this donation, the family is able to save $19, money that would have been spent on purchasing food. This small but significant amount will now go toward school supplies for Micheal and Gabrial, household needs, or be saved for any unexpected expenses that may come up in their daily lives.
Micheal shared, “I like going to school, and I want to help my parents when I grow up.” His words, simple but full of love, reflect a child who sees and values the hard work of his parents and dreams of giving back one day.
