Nerella Sai Priya is a bright student at the Anganwadi (primary preparatory) school in Village Pidicilla, Mandal Moghullapally, District Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Telangana. Her father, N. Manoranjan, is a handloom weaver, a craft that is becoming less prominent due to the rise of polythene garments in society. Her mother, N. Prathusha, assists in preparing spin bundles, continuing their family’s ancestral work in the village.

Recently, the family was overjoyed to receive a generous donation of 25 kilos of rice during the festive season of Dussehra and Diwali. This rice will provide them with sustenance for a month, allowing them to save approximately $14.50 on their food expenses.
