Nagamma Family #297

Nagamma is a widow and this is her daughter Indiramma. She is a rag picker and her income is Rs 500 per week which is more or less $10 per week. She gathers plastic and glass bottles from parks, packs in a bag, sells each bag of bottles for Rs.150, about $3.  It is difficult to carry empty bottles because they are heavy and sometimes few bottles usually break. She can't do any other job. The two members are surviving on the little amount they make each week. In these difficult times, as rice love came and gave her a 25 kilos of rice this is what she says, "it is God's given gift to us. We thank rice love for that generous help. I want to save the rice money for daughter's education".
