This is Balamma Kannabattula. She is a widow and this is her daughter Ram Laxmi. Balamma's husband died of tuberculosis. She is getting monthly pension of $14 and 5 kilos of rice from Government and her daughter is working as a servant maid in three houses and she gets $33 per month. With the little earnings, they are surviving and her only ambition is that her daughter get married. When living is expensive and no room for the savings, Rice Love supported the family with 25 kilos of rice. They said "It is really a gift from God."
