Jahira Bhi Family #2857
I still remember the day, this happened when I was in class 5, just like other days. I came to my school and in the half-day, our class teacher sent me back home. I was happy to skip school, so I can go home and play with my friends and siblings. But, the happiness didn’t last long, I saw a group of people standing at the entrance, with heavy heart and anxiety I entered home and saw my father Salim, dead. I was speechless and collapsed. I walked down to my siblings, cleaved on to them, and ensured I was there. My mom was shattered and in tears. A few days after my dad’s death, I couldn’t come out of the scene and saw my mom high on alcohol and unconscious. Now she’s addicted to alcohol and does not even wonder about our food. Now my elder brother Sharif, and elder sister Safiya dropped out from school and started working as stone hammers and daily wagers as per the availability of labor. They both looked after me and my mom and helped me study without any disturbance. It’s not so good to see my brother and sister working at an early age but can’t do anything but work and earn for living. I have never seen them eating three times a day, but they ensure I go to school on time, have three meals per day. With the help of Rice Love, we got 25 kilos of fine rice. Now I hope to see my brother and sister also eat three times a day. The money saved will be used for household things. Thanks to Rice Love and the donors.
